The Southeast Asia nation of Myanmar, formerly Burma, has been engaged in bloody civil war for 60 years. Under the authoritative military rule, protests have erupted in an effort to bring peace and democracy to the country. As a result of various acts of violence towards civilians, including execution, torture, and ethic cleansing, millions of people have been forced to flee from their homes. International leaders have condemned the military coup in Myanmar.
