Faculty Concert: Brahms Trio
Dance & Music – 25 min

Johanne Brahms’ chamber piece, “Clarinet Trio in A minor, Op. 114”, is expertly rendered by Bard Faculty members Melissa Reardon, Raman Ramakrishnan, and Benjamin Hochma in this 24 minute performance. Reardon’s tender viola playing is an excellent substitution for the original clarinet part. Ramakrishnan’s guttural cello and Hochma’s playful piano fill the room, creating a lush, dynamic sound throughout the entire piece. Any fan of orchestral chamber music can not miss this concert, the piece’s rare instrument spread provides a sound unheard anywhere else.
