Pianist Faculty member Benjamin Hochman of the Bard Conservatory takes you through two pieces of classical repertoire in this half hour long concert. First is Bach’s “Prelude and Fugue in B minor from The Well-Tempered Clavier”, an 11 minute piece in two movements that creates a deep, thoughtful tone. The rest of the time is dedicated to Beethoven’s “Piano Sonata No. 30”, a free-flowing sonata in the three movements, with the third movement focusing on six theme variations. This expert-class performance from Hochman will take you to various emotional planes and leave you wanting more.
