A Broken Star is a story about a broken star reaching out to a heartbroken child to love himself again, and as a result, regaining its ability to shine. It’s a film that I created during my times of struggle to heal myself and those in similar circumstances as I was in.

The use of various textures, vibrant color, and tone contrast not only creates dreamlike scenery but also encompasses the characteristics of sadness, confusion, hope, and happiness in the film.

This film does not use any dialogue, yet successfully conveys a wide set of emotions through the use of detailed animated motions and sound editing. A Broken Star placed 1st in the high school category of Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival.
