The Letter
Film & Animation – 6 min

The film is dedicated to the children of migrants. Two sisters live in a village with an elderly grandmother. Their mother has gone to another country to work and earn money to be able to sustain a family. Through letters, mother and daughter talk about their feelings and love for each other. Despite the household duties falling on shoulders of the older sister, the siblings support each other in their joys and sorrows.
The Letter was awarded the Best Film Award (14 to 15 years category) at the Make Cinema student filmmaking competition as part of the International Kids Film Festival 2019, the world largest children’s film festival, organized by LXL Ideas.
