Composed during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Tan Dun, the Dean of Bard Conservatory wanted to commemorate “the voices around the world of those we have lost – and those we will lose.” While it may come off as somewhat haunting, it is still a beautiful piece and shows the kind of good things that can come out in times of crisis.
