Come One Come All:
A Circus with Purpose
People – 26 min

This film tells the story of a small mountain town circus in Colorado where both kids and adults learn circus skills and go on to perform around the world. This is a social circus that uses the circus arts to promote social justice, create positive community, and empower people. There are no animals, just a talented cast of jugglers, unicyclists, stilt walkers, silk trapeze artists and globe walkers.
Come One Come All features a diverse cast of characters – an 11 year old girl who lost her leg and turned it in to a circus act, a military veteran who found meaning, a Kurdish refugee who found his place in the world, an LGBTQ woman who went on to perform all over the planet and more. It’s not just juggling knives, it’s about changing lives.
Leading us through this fantastic story is Jennifer Dempsey, former director of the Belfast Circus in Northern Ireland, founder of The Salida Circus and lifelong circus performer.
Come One Come All was directed and filmed by Emmy Award winning Director and Cinematographer Nathan Ward. Nathan’s son was also once a member of the Salida Circus where he mastered the art of unicycling and has been riding in countries around the world. Nathan is still working on his very basic juggling and unicycling skills.
